Purchased a B7100 HST a couple of years ago, used it sporadically since. It needs an engine and I have found a D905 engine from a generator. Will it fit?
This is a very complete package

I can't answer as to it fitting, but I believe the governor would need to be reworked.
A generator is designed to produce peak hp and torque at the rpm of the gen, say 1800rpm.
A tractor needs to have balls at low rpm and a wide torque band within the operating range.
This could be modified, not sure of the costs.

Not very likely that it will fit very easy.
There are a lot of factors, like options locations and drives for the hydraulics.

And as Ironman2 pointed out a gen engine of that series will need the governor reworked to get RPM's out of it.

I'm not going to say outright that it won't work as I've never had the two motors side by side to be able to compare.
