Friend has late 1970's B7100 HST to blow snow.
He added regular car tire studs to his ag tires and found a big improvement when icy.

Just outside Cornwall, Ontario Canada. 10" of snow Sunday night and another starting this afternoon.
I have always been amazed at the pulling power of the 16 HP B7100.
Blower is a McKee made unit sold by Kubota. Bevel gears behind the fan just like the much bigger blowers except these gears are not in a gearbox full of oil just out in the open lubed by snow I presume. Quite amazing metallurgy taking place in those bevel gears.
My friend always runs it at a much higher pto speed than the 540 it was designed for.

Our storms come up from the southern USA. Sometimes wet, often with a lot of drifting back in.
Inverted blower is 90". The rear blade is my add on. Using a garage door remote, open the door, back up and lower the rear blade just inside the garage and drive forward. This creates a small pile away from the door so you back up a little so the blower catches it.
No shoveling like most other designs leave for you.
I can drive in high range second gear at 4.5 mph blowing. Sometimes there is not enough power and I have to slow down.
