So, the prior owner's daughter hit a tree head-on with the tractor that I own. I'm trying to determine how far back the cowl is.

Can someone with a "square" tractor give me something to compare to against the measurement or gas lid position I've posted below.

Thanks a ton!!!

From the firewall in front of the gas tank:

To the front edge of the hinge support:

Gas Fill position:

I don't think you need to beg, but you need someone with a square B6200 of the same year (which I didn't see) to answer you which they may not have read the post yet!

Now, if I were you, I'd undo the cowling from the hinges and slide it forward until it looked correct then mark it. Bend the hinges back until the marks line up and you're good again, assuming the hinges are what bent!

How about a picture of the whole front end.

Agree with ShaunRH, "I'd undo the cowling from the hinges and slide it forward until it looked correct then mark it. Bend the hinges back until the marks line up and you're good again, assuming the hinges are what bent!"

I think I'm 1983...S/N 50701. I'll get a pic of the nose...no grille.

There's a fair amount of damage at the nose of the cowl...nothing severe, so not sure if it's tree related.
