Leafy England....
hi all
just for those out there looking for parts for the above, be very carefull when trying to match parts together.
I have spent many hours comparing the bulk of the parts off the B6100 series with the same parts on the B7100 series, these inc the later HST variants with the view to use similar parts for spares etc. These may seem straight forward on the surface but in reality it is far from ideal.
Example, i needed a replacement radiator for my b7100 hst, not because it was broken, but it wasnt really 100%, i spent hours cross ref parts numbers between the the two series and came up with what appeared to be the same unit.
Great, found an ideal unit of a mid run b6100d, purchased it with the view that i may need to just deal with the mesh cover mounting bracket which it does not have, easy.
Was i wrong, on comparing the two a major diff has come to light, the hose inlet and outlets on the B6100 are a much larger diameter. now , having rechecked the parts numbers against serial numbers there is a deff change in parts.
The issue arrises in the following way, if you have either of the series machines with the water outlet mounted dynamo it uses the larger diameter hoses and rad fittings accordingly, whereas, if you have one fitted with the side mounted standalone dynamo's they all use the smaller dia pipe and rad fittings, what a pain that is and the same seems to happen with so many other parts, they look identical at first looks , but that doesnt mean it is.
So to all you guys looking for parts, double check , triple check everything before buying it, it may look the same but that dont mean it is....

anyone need a nice 6100/7100 rad for large hose fittments.

cheers
rob

Thank you for this information. I have measured the radiator in my B6100E and my B7100HST. I didn't see any difference. I didn't think to check hose diameter. They both have the water outlet dynamo. I didn't know there were variations with the dynamo seperate. I thought they all had the water outlet dynamo.

It would be nice if others would add to their experiences(good or bad) on parts interchange. I keep seeing a water outlet dynamo for a B7100 with a D600 engine. The Kubota website only shows a D750. My G5200 has the D600 with a water pump and seperate dynamo.

the pressurised cooling systems found on these and similar models use smaller dia hoses and of corse smaller hose necks on rads and outlet/inlets etc.
the thermo-syphon setup uses larger hoses etc.

all down to what cooling setup you have on your machine, which does also vary from country to country.

hope that helps.

nothing lost by double checking;)

i've learnt the expensive way now that allways double or even triple check parts and part numbers with kubota, even the obivious can be wrong or different.

2 variants founds on numeruos engines.

1st pic is the thermo-syphon non water pump version, use larger dia hoses.
has dynamo and fan assembly mounted on the front of the cylinder head, no water pump.

2nd pic is the pressurised waterpump version , uses smaller dia hoses,
pump is mounted lower down on the the front the block.

there you go sir.
