I have an opportunity to pick up a front electric operated PTO from a B6100. Is it a direct fit to a B7100 or completely different? The guy who has it believes it may not be an OEM Kubota unit but possibly an aftermarket one made by Woods due to the color matching the Woods belly mower he also has. Educate me please.

There are several factors involved.
Is the B6100 Geared or HST?
Is the B7100 Geared, HST First Generation or HST Second Generation?
There were several different setup as to how they bolted to the tractor and to the engine crank, you would have to know if yours has the same crank setup.

Then it "should" work, nothing is 100% guaranteed on these older tractors...Well on none of the tractors.

Not real sure, they are getting rare, just in parts alone it's well over $600.
But how much do you need it compared to how much he needs it is the variable.
I would say fair value if in good condition is $250 to $300.
