I have a B2650 and every since new the throttle friction has bothered me, it feels like it comes up on a notch and isn’t smooth at all, are there any known adjustments? I must admit I haven’t crawled up under there to have a look yet.
I drove another B2650 before purchasing mine and the throttle was the same so I suspect this is normal, just hoping to make it a little smoother?

Thanks in advance for any info provided

Wolfman: no the diesel throttle that goes to the injection pump, my hst pedal is fine and I keep it lubed. Problem is I have to bang on it when pulling it back for more power.
I thought it might loosen up over time but I now have about 120 hrs and it***8217;s still tight.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the clarification, I didn't want to steer you down a wrong path! :D

The Throttle lever pulls on a spring loaded lever, it could be binding on it.
might just need a little lube to get it to move freely, also at the same point is the friction adjustment to the throttle lever, that could be gritty, rusted,or binding.

You really want the throttle lever to be 'snug' enough so it does not move on its own. (stays where you put it). Also not so tight so it it takes excessive effort to move it.

After lubing it and some 'playing' with the bolt which controls the 'snugness'.... I am sure you will find a setting which suits you.
