I am going to purchase a rear blade for snow removal. I am looking for feedback on whether to get a 60" or 72". My rear tread width is 48". This is my first tractor and want to do this right the first time.

I run a 60 on a bx2670 and have no issues pulling it. I would think u could go to 72. I would be mindful of the width when angled and wish I had a 72. The 60 angled I think will be too narrow for you as I think the bx is slightly more narrow and the 60 is almost too small for me

I ran a 72" behind my B2400 for 13 years with no problems. I did have chains on the 33-12.50--15 rear turf tires, but it went anywhere I needed to go. Running same blade behind my new B2650 with no chains at this point, and it ssems to work fine.

And if you don't want to go big, I run a 60 inch Land Pride behind my B2620 and it covers outside the tire tracks at about full angle.

Some times bigger aint better,,, I have a 60 inch on the BX could it handle a 72 incher, maybe, Just remember that you have to turn and maneuver around when your plowing. Now depending how tight things are and the kind of snow your trying to move a 72 might be to big. Theres more to look at than just size

I have a 72 for my 2650 and angled it still covers the wheel width. It has no issues with the 72" blade grading dirt and asphalt either.

You mentioned snow removal....will you be doing any grading with the blade?
If so, make sure you get one with enough substance that can do double duty.
