When raising the rotary cutter to 1/2~2/3 or more the hydraulics start to scream a little, make more noise, as if its straining. Their is ample room for the cutter to be raised more as the cutters drive-line is several inches form the top of the cutter. This happens even with pto disengaged, fel empty, rpms @ 2k and in low gear.
After reading many threads it seems that their may be an adjustable limit rod which activates a relief/control valve? Is the rod labeled #70 the way to do this? One thing though, their is only about a 1/4" of adjustment left on the rod threads to extend the rod making it longer.
Also, is the louder noise, I assume its a relief/control valve, bad and hard on the valve causing premature wear?
