Hey guys so I sold my little 4ft king kutter hog after getting upset cause it say 4-6 inches inside each rear tire, so I went to HARDEE manufacturing (45 min drive) and purchase a harder 160 5ft bush hog, questions I have on trying to adjust it, I don't want to strain my 3pt at all so should the rear wheel just toach and then make rear 3/4 inch higher then front?? Should the top bar be tight or should I loosen it up so it can have a little give each way???? I have read lots of post about adjusting but I want to know the easy exact way to handle this alone with out a extra hand.

I would not worry a whole lot about straining the 3 pt hitch, they can take it. Hook the lift arms to the mower, and set the height for about what you want. Adjust the rear wheel for an inch or so higher, as you said.
The top link is problematic. A lot of mowers have an articulating top attachment that will allow for 3-4" of slack; others are just a fixed post. Mine is a fixed post, so the tractor is lifting the mower some of the time, and the mower is forcing the 3PH up some of the time. I generally just use a piece of chain sized so when I want to, I can pick the rear wheel up a foot & a half or so.
If the mower has an articulating top link, set it about half way.

I adjust mine at a 45 degree angle. It allows the back of the mower to lift up without bending anything.
