I've been agonizing over a tiller for the last several months.

Searched Craigslist just about daily, and all I'm finding are near new prices for worn out equipment ( kinda like I'm finding when looking for trailers )

AgriSupply has a 54" Caroni Tillavator, $1249, includes slip clutch. but no kickstand to hold it upright when not in use.

Is this piece of equipment worth a damn ? Chain drive 6 tine 6 position ( 36 tine total ) has the ability to be side shifted to cover right wheel track.

This is being mounted on a B2400HST 4x4.

anyone have experience or opinion ?

Not really sure to answer your question but I can tell you this. I live about 45 mintues away from an Agri Supply store and they have a ton of parts in stock for their equipment. I'd say take a chance for the money and get one. I know for a fact there's enough parts in stock to fix whatever breaks!

If you happen to have a concrete pad (garage floor, etc.) you will find it a lot easier to hook up attachments if you leave them on dollies. I found my tiller a major PITA to hook up until I made a dolly - 4 casters and 4 2x6s held together with bolts.
