I have a b7200 that is 2wd. I can buy a complete 4x4 front axle and driveshaft, shifter and linkage from a salvaged tractor - very very cheap . Will all this just bolt on OR do i need to change the transmission ? I almost forgot that it is a hst model. Thank you for any help

I would try and find some PDF sheets on the rear transmissions and see if this is even possible. By chance, can you get the rear end off the other?

Thanks for the info. The donor tractor was crushed in the rear by a loader, and the motor was already sold. I can get what is left for $300. I will buy it if it is not to complicated to convert mine over to 4wd. Is this possible or do i need to change the rear and or hst that i already have ? Thanks again

You need to know where the conversion to 4WD is- most likely in the transmission/rear end.. If it is, then you will need more than the axle and driveshaft. The question will be, is your transmission/rear end convertible to 4WD, or do you need another rear end/transmission? My guess would be that you will.

There seems to be a metal /removalable plug that is in my transmission. Is there just a internal shaft and gear or two that needs to be installed in my excisting transmission housing ? Thank you
