So I have started searching for a used scraper blade for my BX1800. I will use it for cleaning up my small gravel drive 30' x20', may push snow (Va and I own a snowblower, so not a bunch but none the less), and mainly dragging yard debris and a fair amount of scrub from the wood pile and operation around. I was sold on a 5' but found a used 4', just not sure if 4' is large enough or mainly heavy enough or if it's about right for a 1800.

Anyway thanks for the advice, Rye.

A 4' will not be wide enough when angled. At a 45 degree angle it will only be about 34" wide.

A 5' blade will be about 42" wide at 45 degrees. That is about the width of your BX.

5ft blade my B7100 pulls it fine, you should be good with one. Also when you angle it for snow you can offset the 3 point to one side to get the snow back off the drive
