Bought a new L4060 about two months ago. I would like to buy a grapple for it. What third function would you guys recommend. I'm guessing the Kubota oem one. Also can a decent mechanic minded person do it or do all the lines have to be flared and bent...? Thanks in advance.

Actually Land Pride makes a better kit for the third function than Kubota. ;)

I have been looking to put a 3rd function on my 3800, called 4 different Kubota / land pride dealers and still can't find a parts guy to even agree that land pride makes a kit. One dealership said can only put a 3rd function on a Grand. Looks like local is out again and back online for parts. Install looks simple.

TripleR, I read those posts. Now I'm more confused. By the looks of what they had said, you can just get the fittings and connect everything with couplers. That did answer one of my questions. I just don't know what parts to buy.

I bought this one from Construction Attachments, which is owned by the brother of the owner of Everything Attachments. I bought the kit via National Implement since CA doesn't sell direct.

I'm having it plumbed at the local tractor shop as we speak. I bought the option with the flat faced couplers since that's what my grapple has.

I called a few places today to get quotes. My Kubota dealer said $950 installed. Called another dealer and they were at $860 installed. Just wondering what I'm looking at in savings trying to buy pieces and do it myself....?

I think I'm going to just go with the dealer at $860. That's installed. Doesn't look like I'm saving anything by buying those others. I need an interior light switch for rear lights..kubota wants $32.88 plus tax for one..anyone know where to get them cheaper? I have already mounted my 30" led light bar but didnt want to hack up the wiring to install in cab. $35 for that small switch is kinda ridiculous

I had my local dealer install my 3rd valve. Its a WR Long valve. The switch on the joystick isn't the best but it works, no problems so far.

It isn't very complex to do yourself, if you have a good hose shop nearby, this diverter, a few hoses, and a cheap button with a couple quick connectors it probably can be done for around $400.
This valve has worked great on mine for 3 years, though my $6 button had to be replaced this yr.

Good luck with whichever you choose, you'll wonder how you ever did without 3rd function once you have it
