Is it normal for my 3 point hitch to leak down while operating the tractor?

Any adjustments?

Its a BX2200.

In general, I would say, no, it is not "normal" at all. You would almost have to have a hydraulic leak or bad cylinder for that to happen. It is not uncommon for the system to wear and to bleed after years of use though. As for any adjustments I'm not familiar with that particular model.

Don't know if it's supposed to but, my B20 does. I just hit the lever every now and then to bump it back up. A minor inconvenience for me.

My L175 holds height pretty well. I have more problems caused by my leg hitting the control lever and causing it to raise.

After you put the hitch at the desired height, turn the lowering speed valve closed. This is the knob located between your knees when sitting on the tractor. Turn it all the way clockwise and see if it still drops.

I've asked a few fellow farmers at work and some said it might not be normal, or it might be normal and to "lock" it into place is to set the valve closed.

I'll give it a shot.

Yep, turning that valve closed did it's job. I had it suspended for about 2 hours with no leak down. Awesome!

Thanks again! :)
