Hi, First post.
Plan on signing off on a 2017 BX2380RV with R4 Tires w/RimGuard w/LA344 Loader & Landpride RCR 1548 48".

Any reason not to? Has anyone bought one of these and had issues?

Thanks

No reason not too IMHO. I bought a BX2680 new with turf tires, loader, 60" MMM, Land Pride box blade and bush hog (RCR1248). Used 'em all (the MMM more than the others) and at 48.7 hours as of today the only issue I've had was the throttle nuts getting a little loose but I've hit a LOT of bumps. A three minute fix and all is well.
I highly recommend getting a Quick Hitch, makes life SO much easier! I got the QH05, works perfectly with the box blade and bush hog.

First time tractor owner but I have to say, these are some rugged machines and I have zero regrets.

Buy it, enjoy it and post pictures!

Thanks for the info. Really would like the MMM but went with the RFM. Gonna take a while to get this grass under control. Also wanted to bump up to the 2680 but the dealer won't see any for a long time.

I have no issues mowing 1'+ tall grass here with the MMM but I used the bush hog when we first moved in as it was almost 3' and I didn't know what was underneath.
Good luck with your grass and happy tractoring :)

The rim guard won't gain you enough ballast to be worth the money invested. Go with a ballast box.

I would also mention that a slip clutch on the cutter drive line would be a good investment down the road. Plus the hydraulic PTO engagement is rather harsh and could and have taken shear bolts just by startup load.

Amen. Ill be investing in a slip clutch soon. The PTO does slam rather hard. I prefer the "clutch" I had on my B7610. Blew three shear pins the first time I used my hog. Changed the gearbox oil, still popped. Spun it with my belt to get it spinning before I engaged PTO and it took off. Hogged for 2 hours before taking a break. Fired up again and it popped. Had enough and drilled out shear bolt hole from 7/16 to 5/8 grade 5. Hasnt popped yet.

Always engaged at idle rpm....

I just took home a BX2380 w/FEL this week.....love it so far. Don't be fooled by it's small size, it's a very competent machine. I love the mix of maneuverability, versatility, haulability, and toughness. If you've done your research, and feel this is the rig for you, go for it, you won't be disappointed. :)

Yep that's just the thing. Once I get it under control the mmm will probably be the better mower for 1' or so grass but right now the land is rough and a bit uncharted with 3'+ grass. Glad I decided on the RFM though. Was surprised how little info there was on comparing the two.

Thanks. I've done as much research as I could. I found it a bit strange that when looking up info on the internet and typing in 2017 Kubota bx2380 nothing really came up. About 6 months ago I borrowed a friends BX for a day to level off a mound in my back yard than move some dirt. I was hooked. My BX should be here next Friday.

My new BX23S gets more attention than my buddies L2501. Its compact, yet weighs identical to my B7610. Its more agile, and it has a backhoe. Your not digging a foundation with it, but thats not why you buy one of these. It mows excellent, it sips fuel and the massive aftermarket is a bonus too.

Thanks for the info. Nice to read about it so when it happens I'll feel better about it not being so uncommon. Any advice on the slip clutch? Do I need to buy Kubota or are there good aftermarket units available? Thanks
