Howdy folks, I purchased this low hour (~600 hrs) tractor late last October. My old 1979 L245DT with ~4000hrs is getting tired. My new to me L3130 just needed a good cleaning and all around get to know it inspection. I have made several modifications to the tractor to improve (for me) the ergonomics of the operators station, and other modifications/additions to improve overall usefulness. I'll be posting pics and descriptions as time allows. Hope others find these mods to be worthwhile.

Next up was a couple of safety stops for the loader cylinders. Sliced a length of 1-1/2" X 1/4" square tubing. Added some self stick felt pieces where they rest on the piston rod. They store on top of the loader support arms when not in use.

Before and after pics of clutch pedal and 4x4 engagement lever. In the last pic you can also see the modification to the turn signal lever (kept hitting it with my knee while dismounting)

Reworked my old snow plow to fit the quick tach snow blower sub frame. Cut most of the old A frame off and fabbed up a receiver box (like the snow blower).
Had to weld a lug on the side of the quick tach snout to accomadate my angle cylinder. Also had to relocate the locking handle as it interfered with the hydraulic angle cylinder. It all works very well.

These last few pics are of the brush guard. I welded it to the sub frame front mount, as I plan on leaving the mount on the tractor. The mount doesn't stick down far enough to cause any ground clearance issues. I had what was left off a factory brush guard, so used that as a starting point.

Milo, nice work on your updates!

On your cylinder safety stops I'd suggest to add an ear on each side so you can put a pin or bolt through them to hold them in place while in use. They look nice and will do the job, but that have to absolutely stay in place!

I'd love to see more photos and projects if you have any to show. I have the same model tractor, mine is a 2002 and it has the farm tire tread.
