1978 L225 Transmission

Got it sitting in the shed for about 8 years now. "Main Input Shaft" in Transmission is stripped, and 1st/5th gear ant 540 RPM PTO doesn't work. Any guidance as to used parts or parts tractor is appreciated greatly. New shaft was $1200 last time I priced one.

Check out the L185 (really L235) for parts in the classified. It is a later model trans but it might work with your block and rear end.
