I have 35vac coming from the dyno. 35vac on both sides of the plug (blue wires) on the rectifier. battery voltage, currently 11.5 vdc, on the red wire coming from the rectifier. battery light on the dash isn't on.

I was told by my local dealer that if the battery light doesn't work the rectifier wont allow the battery to charge.

This one doesn't show a battery light.

It does have a dyno.

I have a B1700 Hydro. It won't charge the battery. I've installed a new rectifier and still nothing. The battery light doesn't come on when I turn the switch. All fuses and light bulbs are good. Any Ideas or a place where I could get a wiring diagram? Thanks!

Thanks Ed! I guess a 60 amp should do it provided I don't run it through the standard VR ( Which I just replaced) and connect it direct to the battery.

I'll try that link. I was hoping someone with a B1700 could pop out the insterment panel and look at the connector. It's on the left right behind the Tach. If they could tell me which wire connects to the green on the VR I'd be all set. Thanks,
