    B7610 losing power and dying

Over the years I have seen many strange things floating around in a fuel tank. Leaves, grass clippings, sawdust are fairly common. The strangest thing I found in a Semi back in the early 70s with an intermittent run and shut down, was approximately 75 half pint Vodka bottles in a tank. Seems...

    B7610 losing power and dying

It appears you have covered most of the bases. One item I would check is the electric fuel solonoid to (1) make sure it is getting supply voltage all of the time (2) it is moving properly and not restricted. A friend of mine had a newer Kubota with a bad lift fuel pump that would not put out...

Where do I start Kubota B7000 engine siezed

The absolute best product I have ever found for freeing up stuck pistons to liners is a product called RustReaper. It is hard to find but do a google search on line. I bought a gallon a few years ago and was able to free up an old IH dozer that had been sitting about 15 years with the exhaust...

    Quick hitch

I bought a Harbor Freight Quick Hitch. It was priced at $104.99 and I had a 25% off coupon. Have used it on tiller, box blade, rock rake and bushhog. Highly recommend them.

    L2550 spun a rod bearing

With my poor eye sight, the oil galley appears to be plugged with paper, Am I right or what was plugging the oil galleys? Could the filter have ruptured? What brand of filter was on teh engine? Just curious. Sure do enjoy your pics and how you have taken the time to describe what you are...

    L2550 spun a rod bearing

Have you determined what caused this yet? Lack of oil, extended oil change, plugged filter? How many hours on the tractor? From looking at the pictures, the bearings spun in the rod so it needs replaced. Grind the crankshaft and new bearings? How do the other bearings look on other rods?

    block heater won't work

When an ohm meter is switched to the 200k setting, it will read up to 200,000 ohms of resistance. The (k) is a multiplier of 1,000 So a reading of 35 while the meter is on the 200k range setting, it is showing 35,000 ohms of resistance! The heating element is defective!

    OLD Oil Brands Story

Having spent over 50 years as a mechanic, I too have some oil storys. The most sludge I saw on a regular basis was with Penzoil. Also it appeared after talking with the owners, this oil was consumed at frequent intervals. As to Valveoling and Castrol. Both are excellent oils. I am not fond...

    L295 Internal Engine troubles

Several years ago, I went to check out and engine that had just been overhauled, Kubota engine, Found it took extended crank times and just a quit shot of either to make it fire. Ran without much power. So, checked compression and all cylinders were quit low. Pulled head and found that who...

    To hydro or not

Since I have the experience of being a mechanic for the past 40 years, I would agree you will see more HST being sold than ever before. The same can be said for the trucking industry. There is one very large reason with the trucks! It is because there are so few good truck drivers out there...
