    B26 No start

Just did filter and hydraulic fluid change and started the machine to circulate the oil. Ran for about 2 minutes and I shut her down. Came back about 1/2 hr later and turned the key everything works except it won’t turn over. Thought maybe the seat pressure switch so I bypassed that and same...

    I forgot to mark them!!!

So I had a burst hydraulic hose to my power steering and got so involved taking everything apart that I didn’t note which hose connected to which port on the power steering unit. So in the parts diagram of WSM it shows part #60 as the left hand hose and part #50 as the right hand hose but that...

    what would cause this?

I went to look at a used machine the other day and it everything looked in order for the price and year (2012)but one thing caught my attention and the dealer had no clue. The dash lens had many small fractures throughout the surface. Nothing was cracked all the way through though. Anyone have...

    BX 42s first try

So I got about 4 hrs of use on the chipper today and I have to say it does much better than expected. I was able to send 3" branches with limbs and the chipper ate it up. I was a bit concerned that my PTO HP wasn't going to be enough but I didn't run into any issues with it all day.

    BX 42s first try

I won a BX 42s wood chipper at auction paid $450 and another $325 to have it shipped. I picked it up from the freight terminal today and bolted it all together and mounted it on my B26 which has 19hp at the pto. I had just enough daylight out to run a few branches through it. First impression...

Best way to repair SSQA crossbar

Re: SSQA BEST WAY TO REPAIR THIS crossbar I had exactly the same thing happen on my B26. I ended up grinding off the original welds and was able to tap out the remaining pieces of the old tube and then got a length of 3/4" black pipe. It has just about the same O.D. of the original pipe. I cut...

First try at repairing a cylinder need a little help

Thought I would put a close to this thread. I got the new seal kit in the mail last week and got it all put back together. I didn't need any special tools. I was able to get the two larger seals in place buy squeezing them in the center to create a figure 8 so to say and then put one end into...

What did I get myself into

Just an update on the leaking pump. The o ring kit came in on Friday and I was able to get the two valves pulled out and while I was at it I replaced all the o rings on the angle connections for all the hydraulic lines also. 8 in total. I got it all back together on Saturday morning and used her...

What did I get myself into

OK so I’m going to post my progress on this repair as this will be my first time attempting it and hopefully I can help others as much as all of you have helped me. I got the valve on the bench today and did a good cleaning to start. I ordered the seal kit and it will take a couple days to get...

What did I get myself into

Well my B26 is up on jacks in the garage as I’m waiting for parts to come in (new oil seals for the front axels, new seal kits for the rear stabilizers) and I started poking around to try and locate a hydraulic leak that has been haunting me for a year. So next thing I know the rear tire and...

First try at repairing a cylinder need a little help

Ok G rid thanks for the info. Maybe I’ll make up a couple of those pry bars like you mentioned. They almost sound like drum brake adjustment tools. When you say that the leak down could be the valve is that something that may be repaireable? And if so is that a shade tree mechanic job or is that...

First try at repairing a cylinder need a little help

My left hand stabilizer would weep down slowly over a few days and it just anoyes me. So while the tractor is out of commission while I attempt to replace a leaking oil seal on the front axel I decided what the heck lets pull more things apart. I got the cap off ,boy that thing was a bugger...

Need advice please on leaking axle

sgt great pics!! I just did the same repair on my B26 TLB very similar except mine doesn't have a Cap on the bottom. I needed to separate the case to access the circ clip and then was able to tap the housing loose and expose the seal. My seal didn't come loose as nicely as yours though. I never...

I think I located my Hydraulic Leak

Wow you guys are great. All I could find on Messicks was the actual valve body. That diagram is exactly what I need. Does anyone have experience replacing parts like that? I’m curious if it’s someth I could tackle or does it require some specialty tools to take apart and reassemble?
