    B6100-D for sale

(Sold) B6100-D that will drive onto your trailer. I bought it with the intent of fixing it up but in looking for parts for it found a whole other one that is now my 'daily driver'. Picture available in my public photo gallery if you click on my member name and look for the B6100D tractor for...

Hydro fluid fill location on B7100HST with Woods LS-72 Loader

Attaching screen shot from page 8 of the loader installation manual that illustrates how the loader is plumbed to where the HST fill plug would otherwise be.

Hydro fluid fill location on B7100HST with Woods LS-72 Loader

I have a new to me 1994 B7100HST with a newer Woods LS-72 loader. My question is that I don't know where to fill the HST fluid because the loader plumbing is routed to what would normally be the HST fill port parallel to the transmission fluid dip stick. Are there any alternate locations I...

    B6100 gear case cover removal

Thanks, The vice-grip and flat chisel combination did the trick and I got the key out of the crank! :) I had hit up Charlie, a local guy selling a B6100 on CL who advertised that he had just changed the cam plug on the B6100 that he was selling. I contacted him about his post and he gave...

    B6100 gear case cover removal

I heard from a gentleman named Charlie who had done this on his B6100 that it was all about a variety of 10mm wrenches and small fingers to reach the hard to get at bolts on the gear case. I just got the crank pulley off and the feather/woodruff key that was in the slot between the crank and...

    B6100 gear case cover removal

The mount for the dynamo has 6 nuts and the bottom center nut of that is obstructed by the gear case cover. The top center gear case cover bolt is obstructed by the bottom of the dynamo mount. Do I try to carefully grind some material off of the dynamo mount with a dremel to get to that...

    B6100 gear case cover removal

I am in the middle of disassembly to check / change the cam plug on my 1980 B6100E and am taking lots of pictures. I think I will have clearance to get the gear case cover off with the (undo most of the engine to front frame bolts and hinge the front of the motor up 2") trick but I have run...

Special tool for Oil Pressure Sender?

The old sender was 12 sided so only the 12 sided socket would fit it. In the parts catalog the new senders look to be six sides but a 12 sided socket should also fit a 6 sided sender. The 12 sided socket I used was 1" but I guess the sender is really maybe 26mm in metric. -Keith

    B6100 Oil pressure

My 1980 model B6100E came with a D650 3 Cylinder which is on a sticker on the engine and also stamped D650 on a plate by my left foot. Now that I got my original sending unit off and have hooked up two different mechanical gauges my pressure exactly matches Stewy's. I don't mean it is...

Special tool for Oil Pressure Sender?

I took off the muffler and the side engine cover to get a better angle. The electical connector on the sender was a phillips screw. The sender itself had 12 sides and exactly fit a 1" deep socket.

Special tool for Oil Pressure Sender?

Is there a special tool that fits the stock Oil Pressure Sender on a B6100 ? The outer ring on the sender isn't six sided like a big bolt but looks closer to maybe an overgrown torx socket. Also the wire connected to the sender seems to be one piece from the harness. I don't see where it is...

    B6100E Engine Swap

So I've been comparing the parts manuals between the D7200DT and the D6100E to figure out the correct missing parts for the swap. I already picked up a D7200 dynamo on eBay since the D650 engine has its dynamo where the the water pump goes on newer engines. My real question is do I order new...

    Mower Blade Sharpening

My B6100 will pick up the Land Pride mower deck by moving the attachment lift lever to the right of the seat with the engine running. At this point with the deck raised I shut off the engine and stick a floor jack under the FDR1648 deck's dovetail and proceed to loosen the blade bolts. One...

New B6100 and the Oil Light comes on

Ignition switch and wiring all seem to be ok. I have since flushed the coolant and changed the oil with a new filter. The oil light will flicker at idle after the tractor has been running more than 15 minutes. Should I be thinking about replacing crank bearings or is this not that bad...

New B6100 and the Oil Light comes on

I am a new owner of a B6100E which I purchased last Tuesday primarily to pull a grooming mower as well as for driveway snow scraping and maybe tilling if I come across a 3pt tiller. Anyway every once in a while the oil light will come on after running a while when I reduce rpms. It seems to be...
