    L245 dt implements

Got a 4 ft shredder. it is a nice heavy duty one. Thicker than most I have seen. Anyone recognize the label (what's left of it!). Any idea on brand? Paid 350. May change the oil and sharpen the blades. No play in the gear box but hope there is oil and not water.

Need advice please on leaking axle

Sgt I need to do this on both my front seals on my lt245dt. I totally agree that there are not any good videos showing the breakdown and repair. I've been putting mine off and need to get it done!

    L245 dt implements

Well the rhino got bought before I could get it. A pretty good deal at $400 so the search continues for a brush hog. I did get a Cammond brand box blade for $300 (even if it's the wrong color!). 5 ft with 4 rippers.

Thanks! I found another site that recommended 20 to 40 hp for the se5 as well as listed the weight. http://www.tricorpusa.com/regular-duty-rotary-cutter.html

    L245 dt implements

Thanks for the comments. I have a rhino se5 brush hog lined up. It is class 1 but can't seem to find any info online about weight. He is running it on a 33 hp with some front weights but surely less than my loader weighs. Any concerns?

    L245 dt implements

Got a 5 ft box blade lined up for this weekend for $300. Seems like a great deal. Even has rippers. Will report back. What are the best brands for brush hogs that won't break the bank? Should I even consider king cutter and the TSC type brands?

    L245 dt implements

Yes it is a kubota backhoe. I'll have to check the model number. Only complaint is getting it off and on the 3 point. But it is handier than a shirt pocket!

    L245 dt implements

I have a late 80s model 245 dt with a loader and backhoe. I love this tractor! I would like to add a brush hog and box blade. Should I go 4 or 5 feet on these? I read 5 hp for every foot of hog is a good rule of thumb. The 4 foot implements are a bit harder to find used.

Emergency Power Generator Connection Help Needed

Not trying to dog pile but this is the piece that would scare me the most. A safe and budget conscious plan would be to get the interlock switch for your existing panel, install a recessed male receptacle, and you could easily replace your dryer and generator cord with a female locking plug...

Any ideas on how I can safely lift and install 18ft pole barn timbers?

If they only weigh 400 lbs I would build something to provide leverage/wood frame "funnel", ropes, and get some day laborers. Can you post more about the kit you bought? Price, size, materials etc? Good luck!

Emergency Power Generator Connection Help Needed

Can I ask if you are using a power cord with two male ends under your current setup?

Pto saw or gas powered saw attachment

Haha. My wife makes me wear a helmet anyway. I was thinking 4 to 6 inch trees max. Most are mesquite and not too tall but are full of thorns!

Pto saw or gas powered saw attachment

Who has fabricated their own pull behind tree saw? Thinking of converting a brush hog to a saw blade or adding a harbor freight gas motor and blade to a brush hog shell. Would have to relocate the drag wheel and maybe add one in each corner. I saw a homemade on Craigslist a while back but...

    2014 RTV1140CPX power steering problem

I own the same model in a 2009. That's a heavy machine to be without power steering. Good luck! I have been fortunate no issues with my steering.

    L245DT Front Axle Oil Seal?

I am tackling both front seals this weekend. Any tips? I can't seem to find many videos on YouTube that will help.
