    L245dt compression

In continuation of my other thread for removing the glow plugs, I decided to test the compression through the plugs. I used harbor freight cheapo kit and turned the end off in the lathe so it was short enough. front rear two read 300 and 350psi  im reading the min is 350 psi. sooo im not...

L245dt glow plug removal without injector line removal

The plugs may have been getting a little weak IMO. I never tested but seems like it would take a long while to heat up. Newish to me tractor, i just default new items (fuel/air filters, plugs, etc)

L245dt glow plug removal without injector line removal

This has probably been covered but I wanted to service my 82 l245dt and change plugs. I was hesitant to remove the manifold and/or the injector line Because bad things usually happen for no reason. I ended up cutting and welding a wrench at an angle and removed it without any other items...

    landscape rake vs small brush

I finally gave in and got a landscape rake to collect the massive amounts of brush and junk that built of from previous owner who left the land go wild. few pictures show before, middle after 5ft brush hog, and current after raking a little bit. The thing that annoys the most is the tiny...

    L245dt kubota ROPS installation/ question

Well turns out I was making way harder than it needed to be. The H piece went between the tube and not to the frame. duh. I will say i had to undo all hte bolts to get it back in there though even thought i followed directions. ALso, suggest making some of the holes a little bigger, they werent...

    ROPS drilling

What are the thoughts on using existing holes. I sandwiched a plate under the two main bolts that holds mine together at the top.

    L245dt kubota ROPS installation/ question

ran out of room. some more. it did mention it and all is say is install "holder" to frame i dont see how it can work unless i have a unique seat mount I was originally going to make one but figured i'd try since it was still on the main website. I couldn't build it for that much. and it...

    L245dt kubota ROPS installation/ question

I contacted my local dealer in regards to the kubota safety program 3 weeks ago. They knew nothing about it (-_-) and said they would call kubota. well a week went by of promising they would call me "tomorrow" and blaming people at kubota I finally got the feeling they weren't too motivated...

    Pulling force

what? I wasn't dragging it. I had the pulley up on the tree to help guide/ convince it. Picture was just showing I got it down no problem.

    Pulling force

I understand pulleys and how to calculate the force through the driveline, just didn't feel like doing it if someone knew off hand. It was synthetic winch line and rated for 3400 pounds, seems plenty for what it needed to do. One pulley was in use. It was just the way I had it tied off at the...

    Pulling force

What kind of ballpark am I looking at for amount of straight pulling force in low gear on my 245dt. I was trying to help guide some trees with snatch blocks and had a synthetic winch line continuously break on me at one end. 3/16 Line is supposed to be rated for 3500lbs. Maybe it was just that...

    janky exhaust elbow

Figured that would get mentioned. Not present when welding, don't worry. Good idea about the breakoff point. I thought about mounting the muffler to the loader frame and flex to the mani but ehh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    janky exhaust elbow

I suppose I should mention the tractor, it's my l245dt. I snapped the muffler off on low hangers the other day. Someone else welded it for me.... I swear. Impatience and a 2 year old rummaging through your garage make you not focus. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    janky exhaust elbow

Well after trying 5 places for a cast elbow, all saying in stock and not actually being in stock I made my own. Laser cut flange 3/8, 1-1/4 pipe and fittings are perfect ID. I cut a 4inch nipple in half, welded the flat side to the flange, threaded an elbow on, threaded the other half into the...
