How much control do you have on your 3 point hitch on a BX2380 ?

My BX2680 is the same as yours I believe. What we have is called a "quarter inching valve" meaning if you bump the lever a little it will lower by a quarter inch. In my experience it's a bit more than that but still a small amount by just bumping the lever. Press the lever all the down and...

    Down sizing B-Bx

If you weren't so far away I'd start a dialog about a trade of some sorts as I'm on the opposite end. I've got a BX2680 and am looking to upgrade to something bigger with a backhoe.

    A general thank you

Had an "Ah ha" moment recently. I'm like many others here probably; I've been a member for years and usually only post when I have a problem. And when I have a problem, the solution has always been prompt, detailed and guilt free even though I'm a "newbie". For one, I appreciate that and I...

    Bx2380

From what I understand, replacing the fan yourself is a pain and having it done is expensive. I erred on the side of caution and did what you did, good call. I love mine and it's done the vast majority of what I've asked of it. Loader lift capacity is an issue of course but you eat an...

    Bx2380

First tractor ever? In my case it was and I learned: 1- Keep the loader low to the ground when moving so you don't tip over. 2- if you don't have a mid mount mower (or if you do but when it's off) invest in under armor to protect the HST fan. 3- If you have hills, keep it in 4WD going down...

    CHAZ/CHOP

Although I agree with Skeets that a surgical strike by law enforcement might be more beneficial, if it's going to happen I lean towards a strike by the bikers and "so-called" militia for two reasons: 1- Law enforcement can't be "blamed" as currently they can't do anything right even when they...

Selling BX turfs but where and how much?

Sent you a PM Tom and thanks to all for the advice.

Selling BX turfs but where and how much?

Hijacking is fine with me! When I went to R4s I talked directly to the parts counter as opposed to the sales guy. I'm guessing whole goods is what I got as a previous conversation with a "sales guy" at another dealership was $500 more. As a side note, the R4s have performed well enough for me...

Selling BX turfs but where and how much?

Thanks 200, that's a good place to start. As for the other questions, it's both wheels and tires.

Selling BX turfs but where and how much?

My BX2680 came with turfs. After a year and 90 hours they weren't doing what I needed so I bought R4s and that solved my issues. I hung on to the turfs through the winter in case the R4s couldn't deal with snow but they did just fine so the turfs now need to go, they're still in great shape...

    Zero Turn Mowers?

That's pretty much where I'm at. Agreed, not as much fun but safer so I'll stick with using the BX with R4s. Slow but stable.

Is a 3rd function worth the expense?

With that many votes for the 3rd function, I'm sold; just need to scrounge up the funds so I can move forward on it. Anybody want to buy a magazine subscription? Thanks for the advice everyone.

    Zero Turn Mowers?

On the worst one the inclinometer says 40 degrees, others in the 30-35 range.

Is a 3rd function worth the expense?

Thanks all, looks like it's time to rob the piggy bank. Blender, somehow I missed your post but just looked it up; great info thank you!

Is a 3rd function worth the expense?

Very soon I'll be adding rear remotes for a hydraulic top link, BX2680. I asked the dealer about a price for that kit and also a price for the 3rd function kit as I plan to add a grapple later in the year. He said a less expensive way was to just run lines from the rear remotes up to the...

    Zero Turn Mowers?

Just my 2 cents; I'd love to have a zero turn but have been warned by countless people that it wouldn't work very well with the hills that I have. If your property is fairly flat, go for it but if not some more research my be in order.

    Edge Tamer bucket attachment

I have them too, they've worked well for me. We don't get a ton of snow but when we get enough, the edge tamers do a great job of not gouging my gravel/dirt driveway. No complaints at all.

When does the relief come into play?

All three wheels acted normally so I think I'm good :) Thanks again Wolfman, I've been scared straight. I had it out for about 20 minutes pushing brush into the burn pile and everything seems to be ok; all functions and both 2WD and 4WD acting normal. I might detect a little more hydro whine...

    BX2380 Pallet forks

I bought the 46" ones for around $300. They've worked very well on my BX2680 and lift more than I'm supposed too. They're not adjustable but that's not an issue for what I do.

When does the relief come into play?

Thanks Wolfman, lesson learned and hopefully not an expensive one. I'll be looking for leaks and anything weird going on when I use it tomorrow. Anything I should specifically be looking for damage wise? Oops. Big oops.
