    I agree, that's why I started woodworking with hand tools. Hand saw, screwdriver, eggbeater drill and brace and bit.     Engine wont turn over

    I once had a battery cable corrode almost in two under the insulation. Same symptoms as yours. Changed the starter twice before I found it, I know dumb me. joe

    Protect mower deck

    Believe it or not a good spray of pam or similar non stick cooking spray works good for me. Clean it good, repaint and let dry and coat with pam. Just my solution. joe

    It may have worn a lip or shoulder on the rod and will have to be lined up with the hole. I've had it happen to me. Hard to say without pictures or diagram. Hope this is of some help. joe

    Drill bit faux pas

    You can "weld" up the hole with an small electric soldering iron and a comparable piece of scrap plastic. Just melt the two together like a torch weld. joe

    I tend to worry more about stopping power than pulling power, most trucks will pull more than they can safely stop. Just a thought. joe

    I have found that if I am moving slow this will ease the PTO movement on mine, it sometimes sticks. joe
