    Too good to be true?

Ihorn8020 is selling a huge number of tractors seemingly very cheap on eBay. Two are shown at left n this site...the m9540 and M135x. I'm wondering a anyone has tried to contact the seller to see f he's legit or a scam artist. Prices seem too good t be true and the ads are vague.

    M series vs L series

"M" is for mine! MX5100HST is all but ordered. Provided the dealer can get the blower and cab we discussed, it's a done deal. Now the waiting game to see which comes first, the tractor and blower or the season's first real snow. In the meantime, I can hunt for the right hay equipment for next...

    M series vs L series

I'm doing general hobby farm tasks...trail maintenance, small tree removal, snow blowing, hoping to do small time hay production (20 to 30 acres seems feasible), throw in some food plots, put fencing, etc etc. I was originally looking at the smaller sizes...3740 to 4030. Not much looked good in...

    M series vs L series

I'm hoping to get some insight on the difference between the two series... What's the big difference between, say, the L5040 and MX5100? Clearly there's a few hp variation...I'm wondering about bigger differences that I'll see/feel. Thanks

Snowblower after market for L series

I'm suddenly feeling foolish. In talking to neighbors, they gad referenced rear mount blowers that face back and ow annoying they are... Somehow that blocked the possibility of forward facing rear mounted blowers. I'll be looking into the...same question though... Anyone know of a good...

Snowblower after market for L series

Unfortunately, I have a bit of a bad back and turning backwards to clear an 800 foot drive would eventually kill me.

Snowblower after market for L series

I'm having difficulty putting together the right tractor implement combo. Part of the issue is that used blowers are hard to come by and the kubota option is going for $7000 new. Does anyone know where I can get a cheaper option on a front mount blower for an L series tractor. Google isn't...

    Dealer costs, "blue book" values

Yeah, I'd prefer to find a couple year old model with a few hundred hours..all I'm finding are ones from last year with tens of ours or ten year old versions. Not much in the middle.

    Dealer costs, "blue book" values

Ugh...I think I may have to go new...really want someone else to take the instant depreciation hit!!! In the event that new is in my future, does anyone know of a source to find dealer invoice/costs for L series tractors and implements? For that matter, is there a reliable Blue-Book site? Thanks!

    Looking at l4310 tomorrow

Saw the tractor today. Oil reservoir was low, full yesterday, according to seller. Owned by three people in the last year, each sounding like a flipper. Lots of cosmetic paint done, including covering copious rust about the hitch and pto. Paint on much of engine, including some of the rubber...

    Looking at l4310 tomorrow

I'm new to the tractor world, but not for long. I'm planning on checking out a 2002 L4310 tomorrow, 2400hrs, asking $15k. A few questions: 1) where can I find info on front snow blowers that will fit? 2) when I need to fix something, how hard is it gong to be to get parts? 3) I'm reasonably...

Lots of acres, LONG drive + snow, woods, acreage for hay need tractor

Bosshogg...80-100hp would be great...I don't think I can afford. It seems like older equipment can run on quite a bit less...with that and me being small scale ??? I did just run across this recently: http://nmi.craigslist.org/grd/3409956006.html Reasonable price? No idea on the number of...

Lots of acres, LONG drive + snow, woods, acreage for hay need tractor

Some of my neighbors are suggesting that 30hp will work. I think for just snow, this would be fine. My significant-other has insisted that a cab will be included if she is to ever participate in clearing snow...I think that call has been made for me! :) I wonder about running a small...

Lots of acres, LONG drive + snow, woods, acreage for hay need tractor

I'm new to the tractor and small farm world. I need to get a significant snow blower soon as I live in snow country and will eventually dive into some farming at the hobby level. ...roughly 60 acres primed for hay. Advice on models? I live in northern michigan...if you know of someone who...
