    BX-23 Turf Tire

I have located a used set of turf tires and rims with about 50 hours that came off a BX2360 for $400. I really liked the turf tires on my B7100 because they didn't tear up my lawn as much. Most of the use of my machine is in and around the yard and if these would fit my machine I believe I...

    Service Manual Downloads

Whenever I search for service information on my tractor I come across the websites for PDF service manual downloads. I hesitate to download things from unfamiliar websites due to malware and privacy concerns. Has anyone who downloaded from these sites had problems? Do you get tons of spam or...

    Piranha Toothbar

I built a clamp-on hitch receiver for my bucket that I will have to redesign to go over the tooth bar. The improvement in bucket versatility is more than worth it.

    Quick Hitch Expensive Boat Anchor?

Thanks for the information. My internet has been down so I am trying to catch up. I will measure my attachments and compare when I get time to pick up the quick hitch. Sounds like I would have to have bushings for each of my implements. Seems like a subject with many opinions.

    Quick Hitch Expensive Boat Anchor?

A friend was telling me he bought a Harbor Freight Quick Hitch some years ago and found that a boat anchor would be the the best use for it. He also said if I wanted it to come get it out of his way. I have not used a quick hitch with my BX23 and am not really sure how to set it up and what I...

    Piranha Toothbar

Use the toothbar as a template to mark the position of your holes. Drill a pilot hole first then your larger hole. If your keep a squirt bottle of oil to keep the drill lubricated the bit will live for another project.

    Piranha Toothbar

Before the toothbar my bucket would often skin the bark off small saplings and then bend them down to the ground causing me to run over them but not pull them out. With the toothbar it usually grabs them and allows me to pull them out by the roots. Daylight and dark difference.

    Piranha Toothbar

Re: Piranha Tooth bar I live not too far from the BXpanded fabrication plant and visited it before getting my piranha toothbar. Harry Clearman is the owner and a great guy. I was very impressed by the quality of work they do and bought several items from them. The Piranha tooth bar works...

Trailer Break Away Kit Not Required

That's good information to know. At one time or another, I have owned a pop-up camper and a boat trailer that had the surge brakes. As with most of my toys, I bought them used. Neither had the fail safe cable on them and I never took enough time to closely research how the surge brakes...

Trailer Break Away Kit Not Required

I always double check to make sure my backhoe is locked down before I start out. When I was in high school a dump truck pulling a backhoe on a trailer was coming down the mountain near my home when the hoe swung loose into the on-coming lane. Unfortunately it struck a van and killed 8 members...

Trailer Break Away Kit Not Required

I know it happens, just never have seen it. I can imagine the feeling in the stomach when a driver realizes the trailer is no longer attached. About 20 years ago when at the NC Outer Banks Fishing I saw a fellow flying down the beach just above the water line pulling a trailer. Every time he...

Trailer Break Away Kit Not Required

Thanks for the insights. It is certainly something to think about. Has anyone experienced a break away trailer? I've never experienced it nor seen it happen in more than 40 years of driving. I've seen them jackknifed, laying on their side, slide off the side of our mountain roads, and split...

Trailer Break Away Kit Not Required

I pull a 16' tandem axle utility trailer occasionally in North Carolina. Trailer break away kits are not required in NC and my trailer did not come with them. In fact none of the people that I personally know with trailers have them installed. Depending on whose figures I use, my BX23 weighs...

    Under Armor For BX-23

Finally got a chance to try out my new tooth bar and could not believe the difference it makes. I could dig the hard packed red clay we have in our area much easier and quicker than before. Small trees and brush ripped easily out of the ground. Wish I had pulled the trigger on this sooner.

    Under Armor For BX-23

85Hokie...Bedford, VA. I plan to make the 4 hour drive sometime and get up there to visit the D-Day Memorial. My understanding is that it is impressive. I had 10 uncles that served in WWII and my dad served in the Supreme Allied Headquarters following Eisenhower through Europe.

    Under Armor For BX-23

I bought a Piranha Tooth Bar while at the shop, haven't had the chance to use it yet but the craftsmanship is impressive.

    Under Armor For BX-23

I called BXpanded about Under Armor for my BX-23. The owner Harry Clearman answered my call personally and told me the did not offer Under Armor for the BX-23 because he didn't have access to a BX-23 for measurements. Living about an hour from the BXpanded shop I agreed to take my tractor to...

Conrol Valve for Hydraulic Offset Mower

That is certainly an good idea. Currently I don't usually drop he fel when I bush hog cause sometimes I need to move a rock, stump, or tree limb around the edge of the woods. Sounds like it would work well when mowing the more open field.

Conrol Valve for Hydraulic Offset Mower

Forgot to say that the mower was PTO driven. Only the offset cylinder would be driven by the hydraulics. I guess that would involve a more simple valve that would reverse the flow of the hydraulic fluid. Searching hydraulic valves shows many types of valves and with my limited knowledge of...

Conrol Valve for Hydraulic Offset Mower

Saw a 4 foot flail mower the other day that has a hydraulic offset that got me to thinking. It seems that an implement such as this should work with a BX23 with the correct type of hydraulic valve. Having very little experience with hydraulic properties, is there an inline valve that is easily...
