The only other issues I've come across is a small bleeder hose off the top of the trans and goes up under the fuel tank back into the rear end. It is a small line similar to a fuel return hose. Unless the housing cover is warped or cracked.

What manual are you using? A 2004 era BX23D is completely different from a 2018+ BX23S in between there was a BX24, BX25, BX25D. wgator has put up the correct diagram for your machine. It was a previous generation transmission than used in the later models.
