    Think I'm done.

I looked at deere (terrible unfriendly dealers here), kubota 01 models - way stripped, rural king (TYM) - don't want a big box level of support and a store branded machine). MF was pricey online, didn't get to NH as I ran into kioti first. Quality, well built/engineered, well priced, good...

    Think I'm done.

My experience and suggestions: I had an early 70s L (1500lb) and now have a kioti CK35(4300lb w/ loader). Use them mainly on 25 acre horse farm but have brought them to my 2 acre house. I have of course used 'garden tractors' in the past as well. I doubt there is one 'easy' answer, or all...

great info. How many tons/acre do you get on average?

Mount walk behind tiller on 3 point hitch?

So the math on the rounds is wrong - it's why i asked you to check. the squares I've handled here for 35 years are never 50lb each. ever. I've stacked and moved and fed thousands of them and lots and lots of 50lb sacks of feed - and no bale has ever outweighed a sack of feed. so more like 6.25...

Mount walk behind tiller on 3 point hitch?

Glad you can do that well. How do you calculate that margin? How much land are you haying? IS that an avg margin or a good year? Locally we had the wettest year on record - great for growing, terrible for harvesting hay. Normally a round bale (800lb ish) is $35-45..we buy a few every winter...

10 acres - what would you get?

define the tasks..the budget..your time... Trees mean issues for a cab. not a lot of snow or fields to deal wtih - no cab needed. Since you can borrow 'real' dirt working equipment no hoe needed. trees...all those trees, limbs falling, etc - grapple sounds useful. And there fore loader...

    Wiring, a treat to rodents

saw a thing today - an equal mix of flour, sugar and baking soda, mixed, left in a dish - rodents (or anything) will eat it - and they will die. So keep away from your cat, but seems an easy way to discourage/control rodents.

    B26 vs l3560 vs kx033-4

Not sure you're able to build a trail for the CBR with the tractors listed :D ... I have 25 acres of horse farm, been moving a lot of dirt, some land clearing/clean up. cab - sucks in teh woods (tree limbs). Nice for heat or a/c but you're not going to be in there 24/7, er, 40/5 anyway. You...

    Labor charges

So they came to you? May charge a higher hourly reate for that? I'd expect $85-100/hour for work these days, at any dealer (car, tractor, etc). Paying for first service...perhaps. But it's basically an oil change with 2 extra filters..check some bolts (which you need to do often anyway) and...

Talk to me like I'm stupid

Almost everyone responds based on their own experience. I can be an example - I've used 'lawn and garden' tractors since I was 8 years old. There are mass market mowers that look like tractors. sheet metal, belt drive, cheap and disposable. the next up is the 'garden tractor' - better overall...

Talk to me like I'm stupid

The MX is a frame size larger - and all that goes with that - more weight (and weight means it can do more). Heavier duty everything. More capacity. Flip side is it's heavier (need bigger trailer to move it, may damage lawn more), bigger (won't fit in small spaces like a smaller tractor), takes...

Michelin surprising remarks on tire ballast,

foot print benefits depends on the surface. Wider tires are a disadvantage on WET pavement - the higher PSI weight of a high pressure/narrow tire on the ground helps - a wider, more flotation tire will hydroplane. Ifyou look at the farmall's and ww2 jeeps the mud tire was tall and skinny - dig...

    Engine oil

I mis read my manual - have a kioti with DPF. Typical first 50 hour oil and filter change. I THOUGHT i read change it every 100 hours there after...coming up on 150 so this thread got me looking. 10-30, 10-40 or 15-40. Winter use it says use a synthetic trans fluid..not that i'm interested in...
