Yep--simple fix. The inside of the positive battery clamp needed cleaned up. All is well again.

My L245DT has had no problems starting until today. It is cold ~32 F after a 20F night. Battery is fully charged, brand new at 850 cca. Also semi-new voltage regulator and alternator. Tractor has worked with all of these new components just fine. The four fuses on the dash appear fine...

IMO, your temp difference is not going to be enough to make a huge difference, depending on your gauge. In other words, if you have a decent gage that is graduated with real temp. marks, you'll know when you're running too hot. Having said that, I am about to put a radiator hose temp sensor...

SOLD It was a great little tractor!

The bent stabilizer question still stands, but Vic has answered the lift capacity question elsewhere...something like 800 lbs given the pressure relief in the system. :)

If I go through with it, I hope I won't experience the same!

Pulled the trigger on 4 new Kubota wheel weights--fit new L series but also fit my rear wheels great. I added 120 lbs per wheel so far, at a little more that $1 per lb... a little pricy, but they fit like a glove. Now trying to decide whether to add more the cast iron route or fluid ballast.

Looks nice. I measured some new L-series kubota wheels for their weight-accepting holes and came out with a six holes 10" across one from another, same as my old 245, so at least I know they're made for current Kubotas. I just hate to fork over the money for new weights.

My new-to-me L245DT came with a bent stabilizer arm for the L1200 Loader (one of two arms that come up and hold a 'swinging' bracket that sets in front of the hood). The bar is twisted, as you can see in the pic. Two questions: (1) How important is it that I get tie the two arms together...

I'm looking for rear wheel weights for my L245DT and wondering if others have had much luck finding used weights, whether "OEM" or "made to fit" weights. Suggestions for finding good weights? (looking for wheel weights only, not 3-point ballast or tire ballast).
