Thank You Lugbolt. You gave me something to try. Sounds like I don't want to replace the hydro with another one like it. Too bad, the machine is built like a bulldozer and the diesel runs like a clock.

Can I bolt in a newer type Hydrostatic trans in my 2005 ZD25?

I have a Kubota M5700HD (5 cyl) tractor that calls for 15w40 (C1-4/SL) crankcase and a Kubota Zero turn ZD25 (3 cyl) for the same oil in the crankcase as the tractor When these were manufactured (2002), I didn't know about Synthetic oil.

Is synthetic CC or CD oil OK?
