Look what I found when trying to remove my 3pt hitch arm

No, I'm not that foolish! I helped around on a dairy farm and a couple of neighbors have them, so I'm in the know but never had the fortitude to make a living out of it.

Looking for an easy access for jump starting and charging

I can't disagree with your assessment of HFT electrical anything. Everything over ever bought has failed, most times after a couple of uses. The tenders are still functional though even after 2 or 3 years. I noticed they are a quarter of the weight of my Battery Tender branded ones.

Looking for an easy access for jump starting and charging

I got about 6 tenders going all winter. 2 on the tractors, one shared by the quads, another on the side by sides one on the zero turn, one on the gararaged car and some on spare batteries. Hmmm, maybe I have seven. I've found the HFT ones (their better ones that sold for over $20 a few years...

Look what I found when trying to remove my 3pt hitch arm

You got that right my friend. My truck's tranny went wild yesterday and is leaking. My backhoe trencher is a 1979, say no more. Even gentleman farming is rough on everything and something always needs to be straightened, welded, repaired or replaced. Such is our lot. Early Merry Christmas...

Looking for an easy access for jump starting and charging

Great application idea. I have a 12v transfer pump myself. Might try it for refueling. I'm getting a bit long in the tooth to lift those 5 gallon jugs.

Looking for an easy access for jump starting and charging

That's exactly it. I found it a lot less expensive on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CFKLXLSC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I'll be ready now. Thanks so much.

Looking for an easy access for jump starting and charging

Hi guys. My L5030 is a PITA to get clamps on the battery for jumping and/or charging, there is so little room for my hands and especially the clamps. Has anyone come up with a solution? I was thinking some type of auxiliary wires coming out of the grille area but I'll wager someone else had...

Look what I found when trying to remove my 3pt hitch arm

I went with option 1 (Richie Rich) as it's the right thing to do. I already have the part but it's a Spring-time job.

So final answer. I called Weavers Parts Salvage in Shippensburg PA and they had one for $450 plus another $15 for the pin. I'll get it in a week or two but this is a Spring PITA project. Thanks again to all for steering me towards the right decision.

It DID look like a crack in the pic, but it wasn't. Just a piece of thread and a little ball of mud.

Look what I found when trying to remove my 3pt hitch arm

Thanks for the input guys. The backhoe I was looking at did NOT use the 3pt arms. It had QA plates that bolted into the area where the sway links are. The $785 replacement piece is not cheap, plus it's a lot of work to replace it. I have a seperate backhoe on my Ditch Witch trencher so I'm going...

Look what I found when trying to remove my 3pt hitch arm

Hi guys. The saga continues. I got a decent price on a Kubota / Bradco 509 backhoe attachment which I hope to pick up tomorrow. As you know, the 3 point hitch arms must be removed to use the backhoe. My left arm detached easy enough but the right side looks like it got a hillbilly repair. The...

    Snowplow hydraulics hook up

Thanks Jay. Yes it is a simple setup and they are single action cylinders but being a hydraulic neophyte, I wasn't sure if it would work if I hooked it up as I described. I do have a joystick (loader control) but am not removing any of the hydraulic lines attached to it. My tractor has remote...

    Snowplow hydraulics hook up

There are only 2 lines coming from the plow. I have rear hydraulics on the tractor, there are 4 ports for aux lines. One is labled Aux1 and the other Aux2. In the cab, there is a switch to select either Aux1 or 2. Hope this clarifies.
