It was a kubota model backhoe for sure as he ordered it brand new with the tractor. I remember seeing it hooked up to the 3-point hitch.

How hard is it to work on these tractors in terms of tearing it down? It looks like the case is about $300 and the assembly cylinder is $1000.00. I can only imagine what a dealer would charge to work on it.

The crack with the arrow is located on the right side of the transmission and is the section just under the top of the trans if that helps. It almost looks like the crack runs right to where the seal is.It's definitely leaking from this crack as the transmission stays wet in that area and drips...

Yeah it's looking like its going to be a costly fix. The guy I bought it from did have a backhoe on it that he sold separately. I was thinking JB weld on the transmission case for the hairline crack. Maybe it will work for that at least.

I could have sworn that was the name of the part that is listed in the diagram. Unfortunately I think I have discovered another crack in the transmission. This may not have been a good deal after all. Attached are some new pictures.
