BX2750 Snowblower - shaft spins, chain doesn't move

I did replace it with a bolt because I didn't have a roll pin. I figured that if they are currently making the shaft and gear a one-piece unit now, I didn't have to worry much about shear-safety.

BX2750 Snowblower - shaft spins, chain doesn't move

When I searched roll pin the first thing that came up were the ads for punches and tools. Thank you, sir! BFDow

BX2750 Snowblower - shaft spins, chain doesn't move

The solution? A broken pin where all the different schematics for a BX2750 do not show a pin! Thank you everyone for helping me with this. (A warm garage may have speeded up the diagnostic process...)

BX2750 Snowblower - shaft spins, chain doesn't move

Thanks for the help! I hope to take it apart tomorrow to see what is going on. If the shaft is broken (#2 in photo) are the bearings pressed in or will the shaft just slide in and out. Pressed in bearings means a trip to the Kubota dealership. Thanks again! BFDow

BX2750 Snowblower - shaft spins, chain doesn't move

The shaft going into the reduction box spins but the chain doesn't move. I cannot find anything in the schematics I've looked at to see a shear in or woodruff key. I don't want to take it apart without having the piece to fix it on hand. Any ideas? Have you seen this problem before? Thanks! BFDow

Kubota B2400 LF rim freezes below 32F

Yesterday we had temperatures nearing 60. Perfect day to drain the axles. The oil and water had separated and the water was clear and plentiful. Unbelievable how much water was in each side! (But only the left wheel would freeze.) Thank you so much for your help! BFDow

Kubota B2400 LF rim freezes below 32F

Thanks for the replies. What I mean is that the rim of the wheel does not rotate on the axle. When I move the tractor, 3 wheels rotate as normal, the left front wheel just slides on the snow. I attached a few pages from the Kubota repair manual. I think draining the front axle will be the...

Kubota B2400 LF rim freezes below 32F

As the title states, my left front wheel freezes in cold weather. It happened today when I went out to plow. After rocking back and forth for 10-15 minutes it freed up and worked normally. It's a 4 wheel drive, HST. I would assume there is some water in there. How do I fix this? I will use a...
