  • Hello, I'm working on adding a hydraulic thumb to my BH90 backhoe. In researching I have found that the BH90 and the BH92 appear to use the same control valve (Kubota Part # 7K500-63010 ). since the BH92 has an option for the thumb I'm assuming that the same add on valve assembly (part# 7K523-8510-0) for the BH92 will work on my BH90? my question is does anyone know who manufactures that add on valve, or is there another source besides Kubota? I've looked into adding a diverter valve but think it would be a lot cleaner to do it with the valve assembly option if i can source something more reasonably priced!

I don't know who is producing Kubota valves today, but when I had a 2004 BX22 and I needed a valve part, the valve was made by Parker. The local Parker dealer examined the valve and couldn't determine what it was made up of for parts. He said that Kubota requires that Parker make changes that only Kubota parts will work with. In the industry, this is known as a proprietary part and isn't serviced outside of Kubota. I would just buy the Kubota part and keep your life simple.
