So after buying our house and realizing all the yard projects along with burning firewood for a primary heat source and plowing snow every winter, I was finally able to convince my wife to be on board with the idea of purchasing a tractor. A few weeks ago we stopped by our local kubota dealer to take a look at the new L3301/l3901 tractors, get some numbers and some model information. I've been researching as much as possible about these two machines and the implements and possible accessories that I could get.

Finally today we took the drive over to Wallingford equipment here in maine which is our closes kubota dealer and ordered a new 2015 kubota gear drive l3901 with 525 SSQA loader, loaded R1 ag tires and box scraper blade. I had my mind set on a hydrostatic tractor prior to actually driving one. The dealer didn't have any assembled HST l3901 tractors so I test drove a gear driven l3901 and the a hydrostatic l4701 that was sitting next to it so I could get the feel of the peddle and ended up liking the feel of the gear drive better. Plus the price was better for the gear drive as well. Got the 0% financing for 60 months, the $1750 tractor rebate along with the $1000 off the $1300 box blade. Then the dealer offered to take off the remaining $300 for the box blade and also is loading the rear tires for free. The tractor will hopefully be delivered this coming Tuesday or Wednesday hopefully. Overall I'd say I had a great experience and cant wait to have a tractor of my own.

Winter will be a lot easier plowing and dragging tree length logs out of the woods. I wish I had the financial means to purchase the BH77 backhoe with the tractor but it will come in a few years.

Congrats , Bought the same thing 2 months ago, 38hrs on it now and loving it. My wife says she doesn't know what she will be doing on the weekend but she says she knows I'll be working ("playing") on my tractor.

I just ordered the same thing 2 weeks ago. Used an friends 3200 to load a bunch of large firewood pieces and let the wife run it and do the loading for 3 nights....best thing I ever did. SHE said, we need one of these, get one. I a went with the L3301, Hydro, R1 tires, loader with skid steel quick attach, and a RCR1860 brush hog. Its been 2 weeks, so hoping it gets here soon. I did the 0% for 60, and got the double rebate for 2750 off also. I will add on my own the 3rd function valve for front and maybe a rear remote, and get a grapple bucket and pallet forks. Best thing about it is my dad just retired from the dealer where I bought it and he will help with anything needed on it. He is the one that said go with the hydro..."cant kill it unless you run it our of oil or dump sand down in it".

I actually also traded in my Allis Chalmers C with a sickle bar and a WD 45 with a trip loader that I used fore everything. Hoping I have no trouble moving the round bales. Figure I'll load the rear tires and use brush hog for balance until I get a ballast box made or bought

ryansweatt2004,

Congrats to you and yours. Welcome to the Orange side.

Check out you tube videos on the use of box blades. You will find it to be one of your most cherished and useful 3 point implements.

Be sure to get some tractor wax and some spare blinker fluid.

Send us pics when you get your baby delivered.

You'll find lots of fun and wisdom on this site.

The wait is killing me lol. Hopefully the delivery truck will drop it off Tuesday and not Wednesday. I'm already planing out how many things I want to get done the first day. For all I know I might waist a few hours messing around building a trail through my woods with it. The possibilities are endless.
