Howdy - I have a question regarding Zerk fittings. I have Kubota snowblower and am having an issue with properly greasing a Zerk fitting. As per the first photo shown the fitting is partially blocked by the lip of a piece of the frame. I have several LockNLube couplers (one sample shown) but they are all to tall. I can get the coupler onto the fitting and it is tight but it is at angle so grease does not flow well (if at all?) into the part.

My questions are: 1) Even though a lot of grease comes out around the zerk, is grease getting into the component? 2) If not is there another flexible (small) coupler out there that I don't know about?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Wow! Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. I went from banging my head against the wall to having multiple solutions. I am going to go with a 90 degree coupler cause I can get one ASAP and I have several fittings that I have that issue with. But I think long term when I go and do an off season deep clean and maintenance I will replace them all with 45's. Who knew? Well you all did. Thanks again.

Does the piece the zerk is screwed into not rotate? Kinda looks that way. If not, remove and add a 45 and be done.

FYI..they make both Normal and METRIC ones, so choose the correct version

It's not really 'fun' to tighten the wrong one in, just a bit more to line up and it breaks off flush with the shaft and..........
amazing how many 4 letter words you'll know !

To spice up the confusion many Kubota tractors use some British threaded zerks and hydraulic fittings. Some very hard to tell apart from SAE. Tractors can have various types on the same machine since the backhoes or loaders are often made in the country of delivery.

It is a nice tool, however, after going to the company's website they don't list prices. You have to fill out a form to request a quote. They certainly don't make it easy to do business with them.

Got it thru Zoro tool.
Have never found a metric grease zerk on a Kubota. Many British threaded ones. Had an older M5030DT with Canadian built loader that both frustrated and educated me.

I HATE 'hybrids' ! If you make something, be ALL Metric or ALL Imperial ......... Makes ZERO sense not to.
