Winter Preperation

First winter with this tractor. Starting to work on getting ready. Most equipment needs some work, so you are not fixing something in a snow storm.

- Flushing Radiator, and putting in Winter coolant.
? Changing oil/filter for the winter; ??? Recommend???

Any other winter preparations recommended?

How long can you keep/store #1 in 5 gallon plastic can in cold weather? I treat my gas and use high octane and try to keep 10 gallons on hand and have never had any issues no matter how long I kept it. 1st winter with diesel.

You can keep it all winter long out of the sun cause algae will grow in the diesel even in the winter time. Treated with white can your good to go.
Thanks for reminding me diesels is down to 3.13 for over the road. I dont know what off road is, usaly like 50 cents a gal cheaper around here any way,gota stop today

Since Jim Beam has changed the aging on Knob Creek I have learned to do without it. I have found that Evan Williams tastes better. Check the label on your Knob Creek. They have removed the ageing statement on it. It is no longer aged 9 years as it previously was. I noticed a difference in the taste recently and googled why. It turns out that Knob Creek is no longer aged like it was. They changed in October 2016. Now it is just another blended Bourbon. The rest of your checklist looks good though.
