Does anyone know if it is possible, knowing a Kubota part number, to learn which other models that part fits.

I can do that on John Deere but cannot find a way with Kubota.

Sample part number: 76550-99510 gearbox from RC72-36

Thanks

Dave

If you call your dealer parts department and give them the part number, they can tell you. I don't think it can be done any other way. Kubota is very protective about info that is not need to know.

P.S........Or I guess, look on Messicks website. I did not know that.

With the Messick's parts site, It only works some of the time and only on some of the parts.
I also know that it doesn't crossover all the time to all of the models they list, and some of the time to way more than they do list.

So it's very inaccurate and incomplete.

Don't believe me search these numbers....
04811-00220
70000-11221
70000-65208
32425-14300
32430-14500

Hummm they don't fit anything????
They in fact fit hundreds of different models, across many generations of tractors and equipment.

Or this one:
1A021-73035

Misses a whole ton of models that it fits, like my L3450GST...

whitetiger,
Your dealership is far better than any of our local or semi local ones!
If you call or go into them with a part number, they still have no clue on getting it, crossing it, or even having a clue what it is.

I will make one observation on Messicks site.

Yes it shows different model mowers using the part # I provided but, the manual that comes with the mower gives you the same information on 5 mowers that work on L2650, 2950, 3450, 2900, 3300, & 3600.

My point is that the gearbox on this series of mowers likely works on other mowers such as big zero turn ones but you will never know it.

I asked the owner of my dealer today who knows Kubota's system. Kubota knows what fits what because they are not stocking duplicate parts but they don't make the info available to their dealers.

You provide a part number, you get sent a part with that number on a label stuck to it.

We use which model's used search quite frequently, I actually used it myself today. Any good dealership should be able to search any Kubota part number and tell you what models it is used on.
