I was looking around and found front wheel spacers. Question is what is the difference in turning the wheels around and front wheel spacers? The manufacture says NOT to turn the wheel around it will cause premature bearing failure. Thanks for thoughts.

Here is a simple explanation. If the center of the wheel is 2 inches from the center pivot point of the axle and you add 2 inch wheel spacers or turn the wheels around to move the wheel out 2 inches , you have doubled the load on the pivot bearings of the axle. If they were carying 300 lbs before, they are now carying 600 lbs of load. Can you say "shorter life span"???

The wheel bearings will be carrying the same load as before (the tractor didn't get heavier). The moment on the axle shaft will be twice as much and the axle will have a shorter life not the bearing.

Thanks for confirming my thoughts. I guess the old saying if you offer it someone will buy it applies.
