Hi guys:

I'm having an awful time trying to get the wheels balanced on my L2501.
I've been to truck places as well as my dealer and just get the runaround.
One place had me talk to 4 different people, including the owner.

What do you guys do about this?

Thanks,
Mike

If you're driving fast enough to need a tractor tire balanced just put the necessary beads in it.

In all my tractors of various sizes, never needed or concerned about balancing one. Wonder if I could take a 16.9x38 tire and see if it could be spin balanced!!!!! ;)

Why are you trying to balance tractor tires?

Are you trying to get them loaded?

No need to balance tires on tractors. Either load them with liquid ballast or don't.

Agree with D2Cat - - never heard of a tractor wheel being balanced.

Many tractor tires are loaded with liquid ballast. You don't to go too fast, lest that ballast start rotating with the tire.

At a young age I was taught to never coast a tractor downhill. Could make for a bouncey ride.

Nothing.

No need to balance tractor tires.

The front tires might be small enough to warrant balancing but 12 MPH should have little effect. A good shop might have a lug centric adapter for their balance machine.

A portable static wheel balancer might work. About 70 bucks on e-bay/amazon.
Might take a few friends to lift the rears on to it .

I agree that there is no need to balance them.

Click and Clack did a routine once (with Daddy listening-in) convincing a mans’ daughter that they were a repair shop and talking her into letting their shop ”change the rear stop-light fluid” and to “re-charge the cigarette-lighter plug” and “tighten the transmission reverser”. She bought it hook line and sinker but told them she’d have to call her Daddy to ask if she can charge the repairs on his credit-card… and Click/Clack replied…”No PROBLEM! WE’VE taken the liberty of already calling him and he’s listening-in on the extension-phone!” :ROFLMAO: 😜 April Fool!
