My last (2) rides. When we hit 65 my wife said she didn't want to ride anymore. Too many idiot cagers masturbating with their "I" phones going down the road. Friends of ours took two massive hits because of that. She figured that we would be in a real mess if both of us went down. So after 41 years of biking I too decided to pack it in. Sold both bikes and replaced them with..............

I agree. I ordered parts for my Ws6 Trans am 2001 from Gm Direct....used vin number even. They said in stock. Then i got a email yesterday. Stock was actually zero and the part is on backorder to god knows when.I ordered a new rear shock from partzilla on 2-24-22. Their website said it was in stock and ships in 24hrs. Well it’s been delayed again, supposed to be in stock from their supplier on 3-9-22. From what I have gathered this is how a lot of these sites work. They don’t have it sitting in their inventory but their supplier says it’s in stock so that’s how they list it. Too me, this is false advertisement. That’s the last time I’ll remove a part before having the other one in hand.
I noticed a little slop in my linkage bearing better get those ordered now….
Typically, I’m very patient but this kind of thing pisses me off. Having worked in sales, If myself or any of my guys promised something we couldn’t follow through on it was a big no no.I agree. I hear this happens a lot lately from talking to friends. Partzilla is usualy very good. I think it is thier suppliers that overpromise deliveries. Same with this Gm site.
Good luck...i know i need some.
I understand, i was plant manager and made sure production met sales forcasts. Since covid everything is nuts though. I retired but i hear how hard it is now to get the materialsTypically, I’m very patient but this kind of thing pisses me off. good luck on your parts.
I had purchased a Yamaha XS1100 special in 79 after I got out of the Coast Guard. Installed Jardine pipe and it sounded sweet. Bike would really get up and go. Kids came along and didn't ride it much, sold it.
