Had one installed on my backhoe bucket when the tractor was new in 2003, and rarely ever used it. The hooks on the front bucket got most of the use.
I’ll probably barely ever use mine too, but when i need It, it’s there. And it was $35 and took maybe 15 mins to do the whole project
Thanks bud, self taught. Bought a welder because i wanted to make a gate for my driveway, fast forward 13 years and i kinda Got the hang of it lol oh and it’s a Lincoln 175hd mig welder. 220vI wish I could weld like that. Nice job. Was that stick welded? If so ,what rod and how many amps.
Thanks man, and my main reason on that hook on the hoe, is for safety. We used to have a mini at work with a chain hook on it, and it’s too easy to make a mistake when someone is working below you. Super easy to get slack and come off the hook. For the hoe I’d pretty much always try to use straps. Or cablesNice welding job, looks good. Was there a reason you went with that style hook instead of the hook that locks between the chain links?
