I have a 2013 Kubota L3200DT tractor and the engine quit on me. I am looking for a used D1503 engine. Anyone got an idea where I can find one?
It is knocking pretty bad at operating rpms. Oil has a lot of metallic flakes in it. Based on what the diesel mechanics in my area are telling me it will be more expensive to rebuild than replace. Also, getting the parts can take forever and I use my tractor a lot. When you say quit?
Locked up?
Smokes a lot?
Threw a rod?
Why not rebuild it?
I realize I didn't state the full classification of the motor, which is D1503-M-ET01, which is in the CKBXL02.0FCD family. I have just began my search and thought I would expand it by utilizing 'Orange Tractor Talks' as a platform to get the word out for what I am needing. From what I have been told by the diesel mechanics I have spoken with, (one of which actually had the tractor and ran diagnostics on it) the other one has actually rebuilt several, rebuilding is the more expensive and time consuming way to go. So, I am currently in the hunting mode. You will have a hard time finding a used D1503 for a tractor.
And just so you are aware, there are mutiple variations of that engine and the other versions will not work for your use.
Your better off having your engine rebuilt.
Its actually their second post, but both postings are this BS. Says they're from Florida but they live in TX. I've reported to Admins as well.Be advised post #6 with Ferdinand1 offering the needed engine and "looking to dispose at a discount price"... is his first post here and could easily be offering something he does not have.
Was taken care of - thank guysIts actually their second post, but both postings are this BS. Says they're from Florida but they live in TX. I've reported to Admins as well.
