I am currently finishing up my twin pedal mod. I am leaving the treadle pedal as it is, but adding a 2nd reverse pedal beside the forward pedal. I'll post pics soon.

That I'd like to see!
I've had my L48 for 6 months now and still haven't quite got the hang of the rocker style HST peddle. Also, holding in reverse with my heel while clearing snow gets old fast.
Looking forward to pictures.

I think you'll like the finished product. I only have 2 small parts to make, tap some holes and weld it up. Then I'll install it and make sure clearances are ok, then I'll have some finish product pics. Here are some in progress pics for now.

Looking good so far. Not sure I understand how it will work yet, but I'm sure it will all make sense when it's on and hooked up.

You gotta love water jet! Clean, precise, and no grinding to deburr the edges.

Ty. I'm finishing the last part now, already got some tacked up. I'll actually mount and operate it without the floorboard at first, then add the floorboard to check clearances, so you'll get to see it function without the floorboard in place.

I had to take a break from working on it as I tore my meniscus in my knee shortly after starting this. My original pedal arm had significant interference with the brake pedals. I made a new arm from sheet metal so I could adjust it to fit, this was finished today. The pedal arm needs fabricated yet from my template them it will be finished. I have to cut some clearance in the floor board for the linkage yet. Everything else is fitting together very well. When you see today's pics envision the pedal arm operating together with the linkage you see.

I have video but I can't upload it. It works just like I hoped. Now I can operate both directions with my ball of my foot instead of my heel for reverse.

Load the video to You Tube, then put a link to it on here. ;)

I have to admit, when you first posted I was very skeptical that it would even work, and if it did it would look like it was butchered up!

I was totally wrong on that, you did an excellent fab job!

That is really cool. That mod is one of the best I have seen.
