Trans/hydraulic fluid for B1700

Is Shell Rotella HD Tractor Hydraulic and Transmission fluid suitable for a B1700?

Is it geared or hydro?

Geared fine to use just about anything.
Hydro read the label and see if it says UDT compatible, if it doesn't spell that out avoid using it.

It's HST.

Rotella says it's a universal fluid for trans and hydraulics. The spec sheet says Kubota UDT-compatible. But the B1700 book says Kubota Super UDT. Did some reading on that, and couldn't tell how critical Kubota UDT vs Super UDT is. Cold weather? Longer lasting? Better lubrication?

I just want to get to a basic, it's fine or don't do it, as it's on hand and I need to change out fluid with moisture asap.

You won't find Super UDT, it obsolete.
There is UDT, and Super UDT2.
Super UDT2 is synthetic and very pricey, and if you have a water issue, stay with UDT.
They are about the same in cold climate
I've a big fan of Mystik JT-5 it's cheaper, but performs excellently in cold climate, I'm not sure if you can get it in Canada?
