Were did you get your side link cylinder from and what size is it, i want to do the same, I was going to take the mounts off the manual side link & weld them up to the new cylinder.

And installed!

I don't know much about this stuff, so this question comes from ignorance:

Could there be any problem from welding on the end of the cylinder with the cylinder fully assembled? I'm thinking of heat damage to the seals or cooking the fluid.

Hah, I just added a top a couple days ago. I would have swapped the OEM factory adjustable lift to the left and put my tilt cylinder on the right, but I couldn't get the bolts out of the lift arm.

I went with 1/4" hoses...no need to fight 3/8" or 1/2" ones and there's still plenty of flow.

Just gotta figure out how to push those bolts out without a press or the desire to disassemble the hole lift arm assembly and I will be all set with the tilt too.

What size fittings are on the PB & return are they #10 or #8 SAE/ORB, and when you go to the tank return what size are they. I would like to buy my fittings before I take it apart. after looking at the tank return line it is just a hose with a hose clamp on it. I guess I can just run a Jic fitting and hose from the valve and down to the tank return on the pump and tank with a tee hose bib and no other fitting are needed. just the ORB size for the Power beyond port and the PB return line.

I used the same side link Hyd cylinder you did, I cut off the ends of the old side link and welded them to the new hyd side link. SIDE LINK 3.jpg I also used a joy stick for all of my controls, it has a 3rd function joy stick also so i could add a grapple up front of use the 3rd for another Hyd cylinder for the rear. 20200812_071734.jpg QUICK CONNECTS 1.jpg TOP & TILT 3.jpg I built this unit with the help of everyone on this forum. alot of good info out there. THANKS.

Used my new Top & Tilt yesterday on on a new drive way & found the Side link hyd. cylinder needs to have a double acting check valve like the top link as it drifts as you are using the box blade. I looked into a new one from Agristore.com I only have 6" between ports and the one needed is out of stock, just my luck. and I can't find this part anywhere else. besides that everything else ran 100%. Had to use an air hammer to get a stuck bolt out. I couldn't budge the one on the right...so the tilt goes on the left! ;)
The tilt cylinder has another 3" to go...so maybe 8" of actualtion was overkill
