on the ignition switch there is a the off position then a lightning bolt in the next postion then the next position the dash lites up and then the next is the start position. Where is the glow plug indicator located and what is the the lightning bolt symbol ? what position turns on the glow plugs ?

The glow plugs on the M6040 are automatic. They'll only come on when the engine is cold and the air temp is approx. 32 degrees F. or lower. I haven't tried mine as yet, we haven't had a night that cold this year as yet.
