Will someone who has a LX2610 please post a few pics of the front end of the tractor with the bucket fully raised?? I will be picking mine up at the end of the week, and I am trying to visualize front end tie down points. The tractor will be loaded with the front bucket set on top of the gooseneck of my trailer, with the front end of the tractor tight to the front of the dump box.
Thanks in advance,
-Josh

Do you have tie downs in the front of the dump box? My dump did not have any type of tie downs in it. My L2501 came with a weight hanger across the front. I purchased a D ring that was welded to a flat 7 x 7 in square. I placed the square on the front of the hanger and 2 straps on the backside with the hanger sandwiched in between with 4 bolts. I can run a chain across the trailer and hooking the tractor without even scratching the paint on the tractor. I did not have a welder at the time or you could weld the D ring to the weight hanger.

There are some things I trust my welding skills for. Welding a tie down for my tractor is not one of them. :) I'd go with your bolted on trick every day of the week.

I do have D rings factory welded to the floor in all four corners of my dump box.
I'm thinking I'll be able to run my tie-downs from where the grill guard meets the tractor frame, but I haven't been able to find a clear photo of that area.
Alternately, I'd like to tie off to the front axle, but I'm not sure about interference with the steering ram and hoses. I saw one photo of someone who tied of to where the loader frame connects to the tractor frame, which looked good, but not sure if the tie downs would clear the front tires at that angle. Hard to say until the unit is on the trailer.
I like your bolted-on D ring idea, but I have to get the tractor home before I can start modifying!

I put a D-Ring on the front of my B2650. There wasn't a good place to grab sometimes depending on how I load up.

This seems like a pretty good solution. I'm used to big yellow equipment that has specific tie down locations. I find it odd that none of the compacts have that designed in.
I like your hot knifed tires too.

Here are some pictures, I do have the mid-mounted mower.
Excellent, thank you. Looks like the grill guard/front of the frame will be the answer. The front axle looks way too busy too get a secure attachment without damaging anything.
On another note, how are those R14's treating you? I ordered them as well.

I like the R14T's, my BX2370 I was using the diff. lock a lot. I don't know if its the weight difference or the tires, but, I suspect the tires are the difference. Just so you know the R14T's are available in different sizes.

I would think that the frame would be the same as the B2650...here's what I did. Got these from harbor freight for about $5. Bolt holes lined up perfectly with the existing holes in the frame (no drilling at all)...

wont flap around and be noisy like the D-Ring posted above.

Thanks to everyone for their input. Hauled her home yesterday. I'll be installing the hooks on the front as soon as I great a chance to pick them up. I'm quite impressed with this tractor, in the little time I put on it last night. Quite an improvement over the 1978 model I had a few years ago! I had to make a second trip to the dealer for the grader scraper and the rotary cutter, but it's all home now.
