When lifted golf carts were at the height of their popularity around here, a local cart builder/dealer built an EZGO John Deere tribute cart- John Deere colors & badging, VERY similar to that tribute truck.
He organized a group ride, and about 35 carts went, and we all had a great time.
Someone posted pics of the ride on a golf cart forum.
Soon after, he was sued by John Deere. In court he had to pay nearly $200,000 in reparations & court fees, and was ordered to destroy the cart under court & John Deere supervision.
He was not allowed to simply remove all the JD stuff & paint, he had to remove it all & burn it under supervision.

And that’s why if I ever get so much time on my hands I turn the Mule into a tribute cart, I’ll have to decide between Hart-Parr and McCormick-Deering. Dead men don’t file lawsuits.

I should also mention he was NOT trying to sell or profit from the JD cart, he was raised on a farm with JD equipment, and he loved JD. It was his personal cart for recreation & grocery getting, etc.
He didn't care much for JD after that.
